Vedrana Ivčević - shiatsu practitioner for horse and rider, senior instructor at The School of Equine Shiatsu, tESA member

vedranaThe most frequent question I hear when people realize I am a shiatsu practitioner for horses is: „How did you come up with that idea?“ I have been spending time with horses for the past fifteen years. I have never been a professional rider, but I visited quite a number of horse locations and events. I got the impression that we as people always seem to take much more from horses than we give back. We ride them professionally and recreationally, achieve sport results, live on them, use them in therapeutic riding for our children, have fun watching them in all kinds of show-programmes. And what do we give them in return? Shiatsu is my way to give something back to them and thank them for everything they give us.

I enrolled in The School of Equine Shiatsu in 2011. I graduated in 2014 with the selfless support of my teacher Jill and her dear husband Rupert who helped me on so many occasions.

At the moment, I live in Blatuša (Croatia) with my family and my horses. I give treatments mostly to horses, sometimes to dogs. I love when I treat both the rider and the horse because that's when the treatments give the best results. I give treatments all over Croatia and come to Zagreb on a regular basis because the interest for horse shiatsu is the biggest in the area around Zagreb.
